Published on January 23, 2025, our open-access article explores the critical role of school nurses in promoting student health and academic success. Today, school nurses address a wide spectrum of physical, mental, and behavioral health needs, far beyond the historical focus on infectious disease control.
For well over a century, school nurses have carried the weight of providing healthcare and support to students within the school setting. Their dedication and commitment to the well-being of students are undeniable. This can lead to improved health outcomes, increased attendance, and enhanced academic performance.
