Schools are another crucial environment for inspiring and nurturing sporting talent, not least as they are often the setting where kids are first exposed to the sports that they subsequently choose to pursue. Unethical commercial programmes and opportunistic coaches and trainers are all too ready to take advantage of this misapprehension.
