Because I still want my students to get outside for fresh air and some natural vitamin D, I’ve gotten creative with one of my favorite units, which focuses on a standards-based approach with teaching opportunities in social and emotional learning. Wow, that got to me as a teacher, as a mother, and as a Minnesotan!

Show off your creativity side: Revise rules from old games and change them to new and different rules to fit the new game. Reach out to your local school’s physical education teacher for more information and opportunities.
