The amount of administration to support teaching seems to have almost overwhelm actual direct teaching matters. The preceding words do sound like a tired teacher rather than reality. Do we need more space and time to think of teaching and learning? There is no amount of scheduling that will provide this time.

On reflection, I realised that I probably just wasn’t in the right frame of professional development when I was younger and probably had little interest in looking at teaching further than breaking skills down exactly into bits for teaching. Being a philosophically guided teacher is not a popular choice in a busy school environment.
