I also coach golf and am an assistant athletic director at our school, but I have always thought of myself as a teacher first. Here are a few winter activities for elementary PE that include opportunities to practice personal responsibility, cultural studies, and physical fitness outside. Heather teaches physical and health education for grades K-12 and is an adjunct instructor for the College in High School program through Minnesota State.

I started high school in 1973 — just one year after Title IX went into effect. When I was in high school, the boys teams always had much better uniforms. It was not unusual for my girls volleyball team to be kicked out of the gym because the football team needed an indoor space because of bad weather. The Uniforms.

A couple weekends ago, my son’s team had its last game ever since the boys are now moving toward playing on their high school team. Second, when adults get involved with kids for a sport or other activity or engage in PE, everyone wins. The relationships we’ve built with our boys and girls extend far beyond the gym walls.
